Post6. New Batch and Adjusted Approach: Scaling Up the Translations

Back to the queue

After working through the initial strings and facing the challenge of variables and HTML, I returned to the Astra translation queue with a clearer process. This time I moved faster and more confidently, applying the lessons from the previous sessions.

Adjusting the approach

One adjustment I made was to focus on strings within the same section of the theme at a time — header settings, customizer options, dashboard labels. Working thematically instead of randomly helps maintain consistency in terminology across related strings.

Accumulated progress

At this point I have a growing number of strings in “waiting” status on translate.wordpress.org. All of them are attributed to my username smendez09 and are pending approval by a Translation Editor from the es_CR team. The volume of work is becoming visible in the platform.

What comes next

The next post will show the final result: the total strings submitted, a link to my public profile on translate.wordpress.org, and the full picture of what this contribution looks like from the outside.
