Post7. Final Result and Delivery: My Complete Contribution to Astra es_CR

The result

After several sessions of work on translate.wordpress.org, my contribution to the Astra theme in Costa Rican Spanish is complete. All submitted strings are now visible on my public profile and attributed to my username smendez09.

What I contributed

I submitted translations for strings across multiple sections of the Astra theme: header settings, customizer options, dashboard labels, and feature descriptions. Each string went through the same process — read the original, understand the context, write a natural Spanish translation, preserve any variables or HTML tags, and submit as a suggestion.

All translations are currently in “waiting” status, meaning they are queued for review by a Translation Editor from the es_CR team. Once approved, they will become part of the official Costa Rican Spanish version of Astra — available to every WordPress user in Costa Rica who installs the theme.

What comes next

The final post will be a reflection on the entire process — what I learned, what I would do differently, and how this experience connects to the global WordPress community.
